Where did you find the VW exhaust tips. What style fit the CL77?

Thank you

exhaust tip

Post by mike horvath » Mon May 30, 2011 12:44 pm

George,
I found the tips at a VW repair shop here in town. I suspect there was only one size as they only had one size to offer. CL...good to hear it worked out for you.

Found them. That was easy.

Thanks for the tip (about the tips). Our little VW repair shop had just the ticket.

Excited.

VW tips

Or...?
Junk,
The application here for the tip isn't actually somehow attaching the complete tip to your original exhaust, rather extracting the baffle inside the VW tip and securing or sliding it into your original exhaust pipe to act as a muffler to reduce the Db level.

I like the VW baffles idea as they will fit inside of the pipes and secure through the holes already there that were used for the original baffles along with the muffler. I really don't like the muffler look yet I also want to keep my neighbors as friends as a few of them surely recall my 360 husqvarna with the expansion chamber that I used to run some before taking it to the woods!! Thanks to all of you for the great replies and ideas....this forum is fantastic.
