More Clues

Post by FAST FRED » Sat Apr 16, 2011 2:06 pm

Looking thru the parts book another clue might be that at the same frame number the CL77's started using the rubber mounted rear fender and the switch to late style exhust pipe with welded on muffler.

Unfortunately, the parts books, even the on-line fiche, show the older style seat bracket. If somebody has their seat off their late model, they might snap a picture for you and post it to this thread.

I just buttoned my bike back up yesterday or I would take a picture for you. I would think that somebody here has a bike with the seat off or a frame kicking around that they can shoot and post a pic.

Locational dimenions will be key in order for everything to properly align.

You are also going to need the rubber set setting (cushion) for the forward bracket. This piece mounts to the seat for a snug fit on the bracket. Not sure it is available as NOS. Part number is77101-273-300.

regards,
Rob
