Ring thickness differences

Post by big-b » Mon Apr 04, 2011 6:59 pm

I have a set of .50 over CA77 pistons. I bought new rings part number 13030-266-000 and the two top rings are to thick. The top rings measure about 1.77mm thick, the old rings measure about 1.42mm thick. I'm not sure how to find the correct rings. The bottom ring fits fine.

lm,
the .75 over rings i got to throw on the .75 pistons i bought from you are the same story as this, the top two rings don't fit, their too thick, my question is, can i lap the rings on wet sandpaper on a plate of glass till they are the correct measurement ?

or should i just find the correct rings for the pistons ?

thanks!
