I really like the look of the solo saddle but was unable to find a suitable replacement for the Dream
that had the look I was after...I dont want to sit up real high like the stock seat but didnt want my ass directly on the frame either-I built a seat base from 3/16 alum flat stock and bent it to match the frame contours-I used a seat pan off of a 68 yamaha 80 and using the stock seat mounts I
made a seat base that looks ok and none of the new base touches the frame(I have 1 inch rubber
between the frame and the new seat base) plus I made 2 seat springs for the new seat and it should ride like a "Dream". No holes were drilled into the frame for this modification -only existing holes were used to ensure that the next owner will be able to replace solo with the original seat
if thats what they want to do....Wrench on...Image

Interesting!
Are you going to use the front seat bolting location?
How are the springs mounted?
How bout some underneath pics?
I'm trying to figure out how to mount my aftermarket solo without butchering anything.
