Looks good, but I really need to know if it has a EU/NL mark. I don't want to take any risk, I would hate it to waste a day.

But is the lamp from candlepower not to big ?

I think I measured around 150mm (did it quick) , while this lamp is 162mm ?

Still have no reply from CMS though. I they don't reply within a few hours, then im not going to wait for it.

This is your bike. It has what appears to be a standard CB headlamp, which employs a 162mm beam unit and ring.

The second image is the Candlepower unit, as fitted into my headlamp ring.

Im going to try something different...... :)

Ill keep you guy's posted on this one. (when I have my stuff)

But if all goes well, I can keep my own headlight.
Chances are big then we won't do a swap steve, sorry about that.

You guys will see what im inventing... :)

Well...

My plan didn't work, but ive got some extra info on this headlamp.

Turns out that before 1967 (orso) all headlamp where considered 'EU proof' , so no need for an NL of EU stamp on it if this info is correct. ( CMSNL told me so )

So, if all goes well I can get my bike registered with no problemn at least for the headlamp that is.

Next week im going to bring my bike to the 'register centre' , so they are going to inspect the bike and all.
I hope all goes well, but im expecting it will, the bike is good as far as I can tell, so nothing can do wrong.

The biggest problem is that I don't have ANY papers for it, so I needed someone who's got a little experience with these things and how it all works and all, but that's already being taken care of.
He does a lot of bikes for CMSNL (thats how I got his name, Coos Matsers) and takes care of all the paper work and to get these bikes without any papers registered.
So im pretty confident I will get my bike registered without major problems.

So hopefully, next week, a new CB77 will hit the road !

Hi,

Most important is that you give correct answers to the questions they ask, and that the bike is SAFE.
New tires, good brakes, working lights (that include breaklight), and a good exhaust system are more important than the looks. The E4 headlight in my CB72' 67 is original.

If they ask if the bike is original dutch, you say, as far as I know, yes. If you say it's german, us etc, they gonna verify the numbers in Germany or the US, and that takes time, and trouble.
