Put the screws in a vise with soft jaws to protect the threads. Then with a small hammer you can move the upset metal back into the cross slots. I've fixed a lot of Phillips heads this way with really good results. Extremely buggered heads can be made to look better, but never really good. But slightly buggered slots with some raised metal can normally be made to look very good. Throw on a coat of zinc and nobody will ever notice.
