I'm definitely looking for second gear and the associated damaged one from the pictures above, along with a shift fork if anyone has one available. In lieu of the individual parts, let me know if someone has a complete gearbox in good condition they're willing to part with.

I'll be at my shop today and will dig out the gear set and inspect it. It has been wrapped in newspaper for 30 years and I don't know the condition.

Check out LM's suggestion first AND investigate getting the cotter that shims second gear out for engagement.

Yes the teeth on the warn gear. I ask because sometimes the gears have been "X'ED" and we would be looking for the wrong gear. ...........emo

Alright, finally got an answer on this: The gear has 24 teeth and 3 engaging dogs. I'm told my kick starter splines and ratchet are fine.
