Piston rings... again.

Post by Jethro » Tue Jan 25, 2011 10:40 pm

I know this was recently just gone over. I have been doing some reading on the forum but I'm still a bit confused on piston part numbers. So I have a brand new set of .25mm CA pistons that I need rings for. I first started looking yesterday and quickly realized that not all first over rings have the same part number and may not all be identical? For instance, one set I saw has a number of 13020-266-000. Another is 13022-275-000. I saw another on e-bay with a number listed by the seller as 00-0254. I just don't want to order a set of first over rings and have them not be a proper match. Are they all the same? Thanks for the info.

Assuming that you are looking for rings for a CA77 - 305

13020-266-000 are +0.25 rings for C77 or CS77
13022-275-000 are +0.25 rings for CB77 with chrome plated top ring

Both sets should suit your bike

If memory serves me right the -266- rings are early versions and are thicker.Check your VIN and parts book.
