seat cover

Post by bikedoctor99 » Wed Jan 05, 2011 9:10 pm

thanks for the inspiration, the picture your of your cover just solved my question of where and how to start my own cover. This forum has always been so very helpful. I'll post a picture of how my seat comes out!

You should! I was quite surprised that mine turned out as well as it did. I will admit that if I do a seat that is odd shaped again like this one, I might have to take it to a shop! But I'll also admit that it felt good when I was done. I just finished it a few minutes ago, and I'll post pictures asap.

It's been a while since I updated you guys on progress. It's coming along piece by piece. I was trying to paint the front fork lowers a couple of days ago, but paint doesn't want to stick at 30 degrees. It should be in the 50's tomorrow, so I will try to finish them then. Keep in mind that I am going for a rider, not a show piece. So go easy on me if I don't get everything right on this bike.

Anyway, here are some pics from today as I was working on a new wiring harness.

I hope to have this bike done soon. I'll keep you guys posted...

Coming along nicely. Definitely a dramatic change over what was originally there.

Very impressive!! That neatly painted fender will enhance your upholstery work quite well. Your work is an inspiration. Can't wait to see it completed! allan
