something has to happen here....this is too good of a placesomething has to happen here....this is too good of a placehello! wake up! anybody like old hondas????
305, I love enthusiasm! But I think you will find here a different pace, don't know why but it works! We all love our old CA-CB-orCL 's . Mabey its just the age thing of the typical owner, this ain't a rock-n- roll page for kids!. I'd love to hear other opinions on this subject. Steve(Kustommusic) Greer
I don't know the answer here, I have tried to contribute almost daily but it seems like the usual cycle is: someone gets an old honda that doesn't run, asks where to get tires, what size battery etc then disappears. OR gets a project, asks a few questions about stuck pistons, transmission gears etc, is scared off by the amount of cash and work a bike in a condition that questions like that are asked of requires and stops posting.
I am a member of the Alfabb, a discussion for Alfa Romeo cars and each car or class has a technical page. If you consider this forum to be the equivalent of three of those technical forums (Spider, GTV and Sedan rather than Scrambler, Dream and Superhawk) there is actually about the same amount of action- though the Alfa's seem to incite a little more random picture posting and analysing of the smallest details of ownership. I don't think there is a big age difference between the two groups of owners. I recommended an 'Ongoing Restoration' section where members could document a rebuild or just log maintenance or rides. With the ability to post pictures now, this sort of post would be interesting. Last, I admit, I bought a 1961 CB72 I intended to 'get right on' and make a runner out of. Between the new house, a 1962 Alfa Spider project and life in general I've only put a few hours in on it since purchase. I'll get right on my ongoing post... Matt
Also into Alfa Romeo Giuliettas and Giulias! Looking for a Giulia Super.
Thank you for the suggestion. I like that idea! ... "Restoration Projects" board just created, in the "Restoration" forum. I also added a "Parts ID" board in the "Technical" forum, while I was at it. Well, if it matters, I'm not gonna fade away I just don't talk much. :)
I do have kind of a blog about my CB77 on another bike board. Here it is... http://www.cruisebikes.net/showthread.php?t=10091 Happy motoring...brother scum

I like it here and I'm here to stayWell, this is my first "post" on this forum. I typically read most of what's going on in the forum and try to learn as much as I can.
I'm new to Vintage Honda's, not new to Bikes. I'm a staff member on the Chopper Forum, Chopperweb.net. I just recently found a '66 CL77 basket case I'll hopefully be picking up in the next two to three weeks from NC. According to the owner, it's all there minus the tank, seat, front fender, muffler and side plates. The current owner has the motor pulled apart for a piston swap that he's going to wait for me to get there so I can do it with him so I'll know. Once I get the bike home, I'll start a restore log here as well as Chopper Web. I like this place 'cause it doesn't have a bunch of kids, but people with knowledge which I can glean from them. I'm sure I'll have a ton of "silly" questions, but I've learned that for every question asked, at least 10 people are wanting the answer. So, I like it here, I'm gonna stay and I look forward to many builds/ restores. Duke
