!967 CL77 on Magazine cover

Post by geosar » Sat Jan 01, 2011 6:10 pm

Spending a very exciting New Years Ever in a book store with my wife, i picked up the Motorcycle Classics magazine (Jan-Feb 2011) which I have never read.

Imagine my surprise to find a nice looking 1967 red frame restored Honda scrambler on the cover.

There is an accompanying article about the restoration, which complemented Mr. Mouse and some nice parts sites.

It must be a sign that this year is the restoration year finally.

Actually if you cannot wait, you can see the article on line. I was thinking of subscribing. Is it worth the money, Dave?

Yeah, ain't that the truth. When I was traveling a lot for business, I would stop in Barnes & Noble and pick up a copy of Classic Bike and take it back to my hotel room, rather than sit in the hotel bar and develop (or perhaps perfect is a better word) an alcohol problem. What I would find is that for the next few weeks I'd be beating CL and every other want ad for some vintage bike I had fallen in love with from that damn magazine.

Just looking at the website yesterday had me thinking about finding a featherbed frame to build something unique. The pictures of the Norvin did that.

I've often thought about subscribing to it, but I'm not sure I could take the added stress.

regards,
Rob
