Cam Bearings -C3?

Post by GeorgeP1111 » Tue Dec 28, 2010 4:30 pm

I'm getting ready to order up new cam bearings. The ones I pulled out were KOYO 6004's. In checking my records on bearings that I accumulated in reading the various postings here I see that I had wrote 6004-C3. One bearing place I saw on line showed -C3 as a looser tolerance option for the 6004. I'm assuming that the straight 6004 is what is needed, but I thought I'd better ask in case the -C3 option is what I should be ordering.

Following along this same line, are there any other bearings that require special options that I should know about, or is the number all that is needed?

tnx
George

Disregard the above.... I did search "6004-C3" and found Jensen's comments on the -C3 and how all the other bearing are special. This is where I got the -C3 note in my records from.

So 6004-C3 it is.

tnx
