The engine looks in worse shape than the rest of the bike so figured someone had put in a different engine but was surprised when the frame no.s came out to read: CA95-4005414 and the engine is C92E-3176323, so what I have is a CA95 parts bike in need of an engine and a C92 parts engine that needs a carburetor, stator, and left side case covers at the least. It does turn over easy but the screws are not in the right side case cover so who knows what kind of condition the inside of the engine is.
The good news is it has two good pipes, no rust at all and one ding on the left pipe, the headlight and speedometer look good (haven't tried either one) plus the tank side panels are ok with one ding. The rear wheel has surface rust but the front one looks like with a little polishing it will be ok as is. The frame needs a paint job, with the front fender being the worst; it has a crack in the front.
So,are there complete ca95 engines available, or are they rare and expensive? How about parts for the c92, may just have to use this engine.
I have read on the forum that the C92's and ca95 are not as collectible or popular as the Larger dreams. Up untill I was on this forum I had never heard of the "baby dreams" let alone seen one. Seems to be more in Australia then here. Were they ever imported here?
Thanks for any information.
