I don't think it will be an issue. If needed, you can kick the bike through a couple times before powering up, and hitting the starter button!

Eljeff - PM Sent

So, what are the concerns here? I was intending on doing the following:

1. Switch to allow power from the battery to the bike which also turns on the headlights
2. button that when pressed doesnt stay down will fire the bike.

What else Do I need a switch for here?

These are the links within the OE 6-pos keyswitch; look down the left column and there you'll find the functions. Here's how the OE 5- and 6-position switches functioned.

Let us know what you're happy to do without and we'll look at the feasibility.

Geez... Im in way over my head with the electricals. This is going to get ugly. I may have to simple create a 6 switch box and put it inside the frame so I can use that to replace all the switch positions!?

Or, better, you could get yourself a replacement h/lamp shell, perhaps from someone to whom you've graciously donated your unwanted parts, and then do it as it should be? What's the reason for replacing the OE combi-keyswitch with something non-std? Have I missed or forgotten something?

Good suggestion... However, I am going to pass on the replacment of the housing. Im going to find a work around, call up an electrician and get them to sort me out! ;)

Best solution, fly a Spanish Expat to Toronto for a few days to assist in my headaches! haha.
