I posted it here a while back.

Here it is again.

They seem to have overdone it lightening the clutch :-)

Thanks for the photo. There were 3 different Honda versions of the clutch cover for the series I CR72/77 engine, that appears to be the large air scoop type.

My little joke was based on the fact that there was no clutch inside the cover.....

They probably just mocked-up the bike for the photos with no internals inside the engine. The exhausts look particularly nice.

Yea, but I see G's point; like "where's the clutch?" (and don't say 'it does, doesn't it!)!

Gotcha, I saw the black hole but thought it was just a poor image quality.

That is the same pict that I was refer to, I saw it in Mick Walkers "Japanese Production Racing Motorcycles" not CB however. There is some decent info on the Simmonds and the CR's as well as Proddy racing, oddball mods and some current CYB racers such as Tim Mings in that book.

Maybe we should devote a thread that is nothing but CB,CL,CYB and CR 72/77 racer picts. Racers not cafe racers, street trackers,scramblers,etc... honest race bikes. Anyone else game to contribute?

George, while I don't have a "race bike" , I love to see pics of the vintage race bikes, and would love to see you start that thread!
