Oil pump gasketsThanks guys. That info about all the gaskets being made from the same material is good to know. Unfortunately, since I'm just getting into this bike, I have no new gaskets to measure.
I did find a piece of the B pump gasket that had both compressed and uncompressed areas. It appears that the material is 0.032 material and compressed down to 0.020" as others have stated here. Regarding gaskets sets. I've found sets without the oil pump gaskets (I too, wonder why they are not included) and with. Price without is $24.00 and with 49.00. Interesting considering new OEM pump gaskets are $3.00 each. Thanks and regards, Rob Jerry, since you are racing these engines, I would have to think that you have a need for new primary chains. Have you found a source for them? I thought I'd be able to buy the right size chain and make my own, but that chain size (pitch + roller width + roller dia) seems to be unique to Honda. Cannot find it anywhere. Found some used ones and 3 new ones prices like solid gold. But no chain stock. Thanks, Rob Rob, Jerry is surely running a duplex primary chain, makes those NOS ones look cheap. I generally go with a good used chain, as I'm not racing or flogging it to hard. No other known sources for replacement chain in that odd size.

As per earlier pics. in other threads I run 6 speed CB360 gearboxes and gear primary drives. I have never felt good about primary chains in a racing situation especially since there is a history of people having been hurt. Ted in Japan as an example broke his back stepping off his Honda after breaking the primary chain. Their bikes now run duplex chains but he is still concerned. In the early eighties when I was still running the factory 5 speed boxes I used gear drives with an idler gear. Jerry
Thanks, Dave. The secret is finding a "good" used chain. There are 3 NOS ones on ebay for $150 and are in Thailand. There is a used one and I asked the guy about the stretch and he never measured it. Makes you wonder. My old chain looks great, but it is obviously stretched.
When I pulled the clutch basket tonight I noticed it had rubbed the shifter shaft as well as the top of the primary cover. Wish I could put it in the dryer and shrink it a tad. regards, Rob
