Replacing kickstarter bushing?

Post by rbaselt » Sat Apr 29, 2006 10:28 am

The kickstarter bushing in the right crankcase cover of my 1965 CL77 is seriously worn, but the parts list does not show a replacement item. Is there a simple fix for this, or will I need to have a new bushing machined?

Ideally, an OEM replacement would be used but if you have to replace with a non OEM bushing, Once the ID and OD of the bushing is established, you can probably find one at your local IBT or Bearing Headquarters. You may have to modify the length.
