wtb cb ignition switch w/ key and maybe some help in indy

Post by Andy's CB » Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:42 pm

subject says the bulk of it, just got a 67 superhawk, dont know much about bikes, this one has been sitting for a while, has compression, no key, needs a battery, then im going to go from there. i posted a little more info in the restoration log area as well as a pic of the bike. if youre in the indy area and are willing to come help me learn a little i would be thrilled!
thanks

Andy, get the number off of the ignition, and post it. Myself and a few others have NOS keys, and sources for replacements.

Where's the number on the ignition? I've got a CB and will need a key as well.

It should be stamped on the face right under the key hole, although sometimes they are beat to crap. RW

Yes, a magnifying glass helps as well, but sometimes it's impossible to make the numbers out.

Do the superhawks have the steering lock? I'm sure they do. The key number of my Dream is on the steering lock as well. Perhaps your bike is the same and it may be legible. Jeff.
