Certainly some stuff there, G! And a genuine '61 CB72; note the black cables (where appropriate -- not sure if they're all where they should be, though), the black horn, the breather tower on the rear of the crankcase, the camchain tensioner bolt on the left side, the SLS front brake, the instrument cluster mounting hoop and the more-forward position of the seat mounting bolts denoting the '61 frame. Fascinating stuff!!

Sorry, I got all nerdie again, didn't I?

What about those footrests on the swing arm?

I had an interesting visit to see Dennis Lodge recently. His bike is rather nice....

Yes, early '61 swing arm.

I've only seen Dennis's photos, but has he done a lovely job on that '61 CB72, or what?!

Sent an Email to Teds in Japan and got a return Email in which he said that he broke his" backbone" in a crash caused by a broken primary chain. He now runs duplex chains but is still very wary of them. Evidently he is in a group of about 10 that go racing the CB72/77s. Jerry

Jerry

That's really tough. I was amazed when I first stripped one of those motors. Honda must have had shares in a DID! I've seen the pics that Ed posted of your six speeder and gear primary. Very tasty and quite inspirational!

I got a prompt reply to my question about the RSC90 replica tanks. I like the idea of building one of those but my CB77 special will have to come first.

If I want one of those tanks, I'm going to have to make it myself.

Cheers

Now you are talking G Man. I do just about everything myself regarding my bikes. "Where there is a will there is a way." All the best Jerry
