Hello all !
I have already put a plea out for some parts, but I realized that I haven't even introduced myself yet, I have been a long time vintage bike fan and have had a number of cb's cl's over the years and even a few Yamaha's.
I have always admired the CL77 from afar and just recently I finally had the opportunity to purchase one, it's a 1967 model that has been sitting (inside) since 1993 so it needs a few things to get it going again. I am real pleased to have found this forum and look forward to talking tech with you fine folks.Take Care.

Just joined the group, I have a '64 CL72 I inherited from an uncle 'bout 15 years ago, just pulled it out of the garage, looking to get it in shape. Kind of a long story, when I first got it it ran but seems to miss every other gear. Hence it ended up sitting in the back of the garage. I have a CL72 block in a box 'cuz the motor in it is a CL77. The bike is painted orange and black (over original red, or should I say scarlet). Fenders are chrome, front one is "bobbed". Tank is silver, medallions just say Hm, no numbers. I am starting to wonder how much of this is CL72 and how much is CL77. I'll have to get some pics to post, I was hoping to do a ground up resto but concerned if too much of it was replaced with CL77 parts it may cost a fortune to replace part by part... Still trying to find a number on the frame, haven't been able to decipher where it is and think it may be pretty well painted over? I have read alot of great stuff in the forums and look forward to getting into the vintage relm even if it does end up being a CL72-77 hybrid.... LOL.
