By pure coincidence, the 3.50-19 rear arrived today. There are no marking on either tire for front or rear mounting and no directional arrows. I had inquired about this on this forum because it has been many years since I've ordered a set of K70's. Response back was that the K70 was never a directional tire. So I would say they are good for either front or rear use.
regards,
Rob

Good to know - you purchased tubes as well, correct? What size were the tubes - I can't figure that part out (100/90-19 or 110/90-19)!

You going to mount yourself or have a tire shop do it?

EXACT MATCH TO THE ORIGINAL TIRES

Post by 1941wld » Thu Sep 09, 2010 7:50 pm

The Duro HF-308 is a replica to the Pirelli MT53 that originally came on the scramblers. Domi Racer @ 1-877-451-0354 stocks them. The rear is part number 39-00364 3.50x19. and the front is 39-00363 3.25x19. These make Chen Sing suck eggs. I'll have my scrambler at Barber stop by D13 in the swapmeet and take a look.

I bought IRC tubes from Bike Bandit as well. The same tube size works in both tires. It's a 3.25/3.50/4.10 - 19 tube. Metric size is 100/90-19. The IRC part number is 87-5956.

Regarding tire and tube sizes, if you do a search on the web, you will find conversion charts for motorcycle tires so you can determine what metric sizes work with the older English sizes.

Yes, I'm mounting and balancing them myself.

regards,
Rob
