Rob,

Les runs the Small Engine Service or on ebay at http://stores.ebay.com/lesvintageadvantage I have not bought anything from him but I have talked/emailed him a few times and he seems to be very knowledgeable no BS type of guy.

As I learned from LM recently Dreams have a different piston shape and a CB350 might also work but the barrels would need to be shortened. Is your dream early or late ie does it have the center oil feed (9 hole) ? I have a ste of barrels to suit side oil feed motors already converted to 350 with new liners.

Bore-tech also has full 350 kits for these motors (CB77 at least) - including pistons, cylinder sleeves, etc.

I e-mailed to ask about the pistons and was told they were the same as the CB350 pistons they sell, but he was to send me more info about the build and I have yet to receive that.

That doesn't sound right. Their CB350 pistons are 64mm for a stock piston and 66.75 or so for a race piston. using that size in a CB77 would cause all sorts of issues of legality as well as shape. 358cc that they quote would be 65mm which is AHRMA legal and they could well be modified CB350 or made from the same blanks as their 65mm CB350 pistons.

If the rings are thin enough they might be a cheapish way to go. (all things are relative) :-)

65mm is what I was told they used.

They have 65 and 65.5 stock replacement pistons for the 350 on their site here:
http://bore-tech.com/CB.html

I just pinged Bill again to see if there are any updates on the 358 engine they were building. I'll see if I can post details when I get them.
