66 Dream windshield & saddlebags

Post by map351 » Mon Aug 16, 2010 9:04 pm

I finally got my 1966 Dream back together after rebuilding the top end .050mm over and a good valve job. Next on the list is a windshield & a set of fiberglass bags anyone know of a source or used?

Thanks
Mike

Welcome to the forum!
Where are you?
I've been looking for bags for a while....hard to find an "affordable" set.
Original Buco bags are available on ebay but routinely go for 350.00 and up for a decent set.
You can get new cheap bags for around 100.00 from some import parts vendors.
Good luck.

Bike looks absolutely spectacular (although I'm a stickler and noticed the seat right off!). Nice work!
Are the tires Cokers?

Lo and behold:

Maybe a bit more weathered than you'd like, but chrome seems to clean up very nicely with a little elbow grease and an SOS pad. They CLAIM the windshield's clean and clear.

I don't see the brackets needed for installation on the listing... make sure you get them w/ the shield.
Or have another method of installation of course.
