Oil leaking

Post by bech » Wed Jun 30, 2010 2:26 am

There's oil leaking from behind the points. The side cover gasket is fine.
I’ve been told that it can be the o-ring or - worse - worn shaft.
Any clue about it before I open pandora’s jar? Thanks.

There is usually an oil seal behind the points, for the shaft. That is what I would suspect to be leaking.

Thanks, Davomoto. That was it. Oil seal changed and leak stoped.

You bet.
I'll be returning on the 10th and be there from 11:50 AM to 1:50 PM and if there's no problem at the terminal I'd especially enjoy meeting you. .........lm
