1965 or so CL77 STOP LAMP SWITCH

Post by jcspc » Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:58 pm

Looking for a rear brake stop lamp switch to replace the perfectly good one I ruined by tapping the brake shaft over so I could put the brake lever on. I used a 20 oz ball peen hammer to do this and in the process I bent the brass plunger to an obscene angle. Upon trying to straighten it back into place, I snapped it off therefore rendering it completely useless. So I know some kind soul in the 305 community has one of these laying around and needing to be put back into service. Please let me know what it will take for you to part with the part.

Sincerely feeling a little dumb,

For all of you who are looking at this post, I still haven't found the part yet. If you have one or know of one, I'm still interested...

There are two styles of brake light switches; switch shaft is pulled out with a spring (like the one on EBay) or shaft is pushed in by a nylon button mounted on the rear brake spindle, like the one in the attached pic
