CL77 forks Late vs early

Post by conbs » Tue Jul 06, 2010 11:48 am

Has anyone ever put later model CL77 forks, big hub front wheel and fender on a bike (CL77 or 72 I would guess) that originally had the early forks and small hub wheel? Any issues with fit or performance?

While I have not done it, I see no reason you can't. You'd have to use the triples from the later model as well. Braking performance will be increased with the dual leading shoe brake.

Thanks. I haven't tried to put the forks on the bike yet ( and it may be a little while) but I will report the outcome.
