Repair or replace?

Post by Goodysnap » Sun May 30, 2010 12:23 pm

Unfortunatly I had the back tire go down on me about 35 miles from the house a couple days ago. And boy did it go down fast. Tore it apart today and found a cut about 1/2" wide in the tread and tube. Otherwise tire looks good( got it stopped pretty quick) Obviously I 'm a victim of road hazards. I curious what you guys with more ride time than I have would do. Cheng shin 300-18. I'm thinkin replace myself , but I only got 700 miles on it , hate to throw it out.

Tires are not that costly and a cut tire isn't all that safe in my opinion. .........lm

Throw it away! It's hardly worth a crash.

LM and Davomoto, thanks for your quick replies. I guess I should learn to trust my first instinct's and quit bein such a cheap ass. New tire and tube ordered. I went with the Duro 100/90/18 Model HF918. Thought I 'd try something different. Wasnt overly impressed with the Cheng Shins.
