Humor is culturally contextual, and one might have assumed that anyone reading that post would see it as such. Not necessarily funny, but it's clearly not a serious offer to do anything for anyone.

Now I have to decide if you are trying your own brand of humor or if you missed the point. Either way there is no point.

Donzie,

Did you manage to get down to see the guy in person yet? I'm sure that any info you have would be of interest to many of the people on this forum.

Those H&C cam kits were not very common back in the day and there isn't a lot of info on the web about them. Anything you can discover will no doubt add to the body of knowledge.

Actually the HC cams were well advertised here in the states.
Not every one installed the mag. rocker/followers.
As I recall they were considered as the best item to add power and along with them was the 350cc kits. .... ......................lm

I'm guessing there is a smarter way to include a thumbnail. I'll look for it later

LM, were the roller rocker arms aluminum or magnesium and forged or cast?

I was under the impression that they were aluminum. IIRC Pete Rhodes got a set a while ago. Somewhere in my old paper notes (maybe still in OZ) there's a cam profile for an H&C roller cam. I just have no idea where.

There's a crude plot of the old race kit 20-40 CYB cam in there too if I can find it. that was a nice mild cam with nice acceleration ramps. Some Norris cams were very hard on valve trains and when I worked out the acceleration rates, it was obvious why. Over the years I tried every Norris profile and plotted most of their lift curves and in some cases also worked through velocity and acceleration curves to see what was going on.

My first motor had oversized stainless valves, but the stem tips got hammered in, so I tried Stellite and that chipped of. The only solution I didn't try because I had no idea how to get one was mushroom heads like we used to fit on BSA triples. I think that's what Jerry uses now. Smart man. His bikes were always waaay faster than mine plus Barney rode about twice as hard.

Good pics.
Thanks for sharing.
No Megs and what is that system on the pipe with the bottom pic?
I stated Mag however I don't know the answer as to Mag or Aluminum.
Just what we called them years back.
I have a CL77 with the HC assy but haven't removed the parts as yet.
Jerry is a wizard with more than just the engine. ...........................lm
