Oil filter chewed up the case

Figured I would provide an update to the oil filter/case issue. After putting it together with single washer in the stock location and running it for a 150 miles all is well. I pulled it apart and the surfaces look good.

For anyone interested here are a couple of pictures of the “finished for now” project. It’s a 66 as identified by the tag in the electrical harness. I would like to thank everyone for their efforts in posting responses to questions in this form. Each time I run into an issue I can do a quick search and most of the time come up with the answer to resolving it.
