I could feel it break loose and hear the rpms race faster than they should for the speed.
I could make it slip in any gear by opening the throttle too quickly under constant load.
But with light throttle and matching gear to the load it wouldn't slip in any gear, or at least I couldn't hear or feel it.
It doesn't slip at all now thanks to LM disc pack.

You describe the clutch problem better than most. ...........lm
hey guys, thanks for all the suggestions, and sorry i haven't been responding. i don't have internet so can only get on every so often.
when i bought a new clutch pack pack they did give me the new softer springs so will try putting the harder springs back in. i also bought a carb rebuild kit and put the new jets in so i will try putting the old main jet back in it turns out my front break was a little tight so i loosened that and that did help slightly also, i thought i had fixed my oil leak but it seems i haven't so i have to fix that again now too. again thank you guys for the help. This was my first engine rebuild ever and i was just excited it started right up on the first kick, i figured though it would not go that easy so yeah, now the problems are popping up. I'll keep you all updated. Derek
It's leaking from the head and between the the cam and cylinder. I've dropped the engine twice already and retorqued the bolts. So that's what i'm going to do again except this time I'm going to try putting the old copper washers back on the head. I don't know what it is but it seems these new washers just arn't sealing right
