CB450 DOHC infoCB450 DOHC infoHey, I found this bike a few years ago and haven't found much info about it.
Bike has the "euro" sized tag bracket on it, different turn sigs and taillight. Which I take to be original because of the mounting to the rear fender. (Bosses for the bracket on the fender,etc. Just seems to look correct). The tag on the frame , Type CB450K1 Baujahr 196 Fahrgest 3009215 Zul.Ges.Gewicht 350 kg The serial number stamped into the frame is followed by a " - B " that has been rotated so that it lays on the rounded portions of the letter. Anyone know any info on this bike? Thanks, Brady

This is my theory. The US didn't imported much of the CB450K1 officially. 1969 was the year of the CB750, the CB450K1 stood in the shade of the success of the CB750, especially in the US. Almost all produced CB750 K, K1 ended up in the US. However, there where a handful of people who wanted to have the CB450K1, 's and loved it's styling. I saw more CB450K1's in the US imported from Germany. In Europe the CB450K1 is not expensive, actually it was cheap, and that's another reason. The cool thing about the early CB450 Black Bomber is that the motor had a DOHC head.
