Take the nozzle off while the carb is still mounted, makes it easier to remove and replace.
Unscrew the very top of the carb where the throttle cable enters and pull the slide out the top.
The carb should pull STRAIGHT back from the motor. Tap the flange lightly with a block of wood as a cushion if it is stuck to the mount.

This won't help get the carb off but I wanted to add that what you have labeled an "air vent" is actually an overflow so that if the floats are adjusted too high then the excess fuel will drip out of that tube and down the hose which you mention should be attached.

Ordered some parts from RetroBikes,one of which was the carb kit...They had included the correct jets taped to the Keyster kit for use when you rebuild! Kudos to them!!!
