MUFFLER WARNING LABLE

Post by FAST FRED » Mon Mar 29, 2010 4:21 pm

Can anyone tell me anything about the muffler warning lable I see being sold. Was it on all American models? Where exactly was it placed on the bike? Was it a dealer installed? Did it start apearing at a certain frame #? I've seen it on a couple of CL77's but always in a different spot (left hand side cover, rear fender pipe, rear fender). If anyone can shead a little light on this I would love to know.

Thanks in advance, FAST FRED

Fred, left hand sidecover, only on the 67 as far as I know. I just got one from Tim McDonald for my 67. I removed the origional one from the left sidecover, and my painter scanned where it was to come up with the paint color. Did you go to the show in San Jose last weekend?

NO SHOW AT THE SHOW

Post by FAST FRED » Mon Mar 29, 2010 9:21 pm

Davo, no I didn't go this year. Evan had a ride there if I needed it. I'm too wraped up with my resto right now. My buddy Steve went and said it was a great show as always and He scored a pair of real Dunstall decibel silencers. I'm pissed I lost a chance at those. Thanks for the lable info, I guess I don't need to worry anymore about as my resto is a 65.
