AM I TOO BIG for A 305 Dream?

Just bought a 65 Dream. Haven't even seen it yet. I live at the beach in Florida. Lot of my buddies have scooters that they run around on, but I am 6'4" 250lbs. Scooters are too little unless I get one of those high dollar 500s. Have never even seen a dream in person. Is it big enough for a guy my size to run around the village on?

Grant, they are kind of smaller, but sounds like it will be the ultimate ride around the village bike, especially if all your friends are on scooters!

if it is for cruising around town you will love it. you may want to put a larger rear sprocket on it though. perfect fla. bike. nice and flat down there. lots of style.

Think about it this way: if you weighed 150 pounds, would you hesitate for a minute to put your 100 pound girlfriend on the back and ride, ride, ride?

If you have a 200 pound girlfriend and weigh 250 yourself, you might want to think about a bigger bike....or getting her her own bike... :-)

I weigh in at 89kg (200lbs) and, at 1.7m -- just under 5' 8" -- I guess you'd describe me as 'stocky'. No belly (to speak of) but my belt buckle seems heavy sometimes(!). My CB77 hurls me to 80mph without so much as breathing hard.

At 6' 4", you'd offer more windage and, at 250lbs, you'd be loading the bike as though I were carrying a fair-sized back pack. I'd think your height would be more relevant than your weight and, at that stature, you'd probably be better paired with a Goldwing than a Dream! That's obviously not what you really want, though.

I do, kind of, 'dwarf' my CB, even with a mere 29" inside leg (the CB has a 30" seat height).

i am 6 4 and 265 and i ride my superhawk all the time. Is it a little small...yeah...do i care....no. Its all about riding it. People stare and then realize what i am on and then all the questions come. ride it, enjoy it and be the envy of all your scooter friends!
