Can Anyone Identify this Frame ?

Post by Phil-UK » Fri Jun 05, 2009 6:49 am

Hi

Please see attached scan.
This bike belongs to a French rider who paraded it at last week's Classic event at Dijon in France,
and he is keen to find out more about it.
He thought it might have been made for the CR93 ( its not an original comparing with photos on the
web ) and it all looks like Honda except someone has added box section vertical struts from the
swinging arm and a box section swinging arm.

thanks

Phil

Looks like CB160, or CB77, but hard to tell from small far away pic.

I'd put money on it being a cb160 engine.

Hi,

The appears to me as a CB160 frame, but it's not standard.
It isn't a CB93 frame, compare it to this picture (CB93 frame)

Phil, looks like a B&Q shelving system! But it obviously worked.

Seemples! (that will only mean something to those with access to Brit TV ads!) http://www.honda305.com/forums/viewtopi ... 3299#23299

The motor is either a CB93 (125) or Cb96(160). carbs look large, so I'll go with Cb160 based, but larger inside.

Front forks look like CB160 with cut down oil seal holders. Front brake is different and I can't see enough detail to identify that. That frame is interesting. the front end looks like a Honda RC frame and is really nice, but the back end with the vertical square tube looks like a Dave Degens (Dresda Motors) design.

It is not a CB160 or CR93 frame.

Rear wheel looks like CB160.

Probably a 200cc class racer based on a CB160
