How to remove a fork lock?

Post by zoo mob » Tue Sep 08, 2009 5:37 pm

Hi,
I bought a CL77 thats been sitting in a field for years to part out, I've got it pretty well stripped down, but cannot figure out how to get the fork lock off. Any help would be much appreciated. This one was beyond saving, but I'm hoping to get one of these on the road someday.

you can get the fork lock out 2 ways.
1. get the matching key and that will take it out.
2. bust the little pin with a hammer and punch then get a new fork lock.

Just to embellish Deez's solution: originally, the ignition keyswitch and the steering lock were keyed alike.

Good luck!
