I'm stymied about my battery. Need input.I'm stymied about my battery. Need input.Hi folks. I need somebody to guide me through this. Let me just say that I will probably end up taking my old battery in and matching it up, but I'm getting ahead of myself. It all started with a battery that is split in half through the case, drained of acid and absolutely toast. Looked up the battery my bike is supposed to have (I have a C77 Dream with a 1965 frame and a 1964 engine. I went with the frame code) on Yuasa's website and here it is: 12N9-3A. I go to my local battery dealer and, after straightening out their mistake of charging up the wrong battery overnight for me, walk out the door with the proper battery according to their catologue and Yuasa's website. Once I got home and put it on the bike I immediately notice that the battery seems to be a little too deep (it's pushing on the frame) and it's 2/3 the size of the old one. Also, the vent is on the wrong side for the hose guide to allow it to drip unhindered to the ground and the terminals are angled differently. Check out the pictures and tell me what you think please. , , , ,. Thanks, Jeff.
CA77 Old Style BatteryOnly place I've seen them recently, and they appear to have sold a bunch of them:
