Cable adjuster to side cover fit

Post by gac123 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 2:32 pm

My superhawk is finally back on it's own wheels and the reassembly is slowly progressing. Long story short I had to get a replacement engine right side cover. As I went to install the threaded cable keeper in the housing I discovered that it won't fit. The slot in the new cover is about 14mm and the feature that slides into it is about 17.7mm. I note in the CD parts manual that there two different ones; -000 and -020. Is that the difference? I have two of the inserts. They look somewhat diffeent but the slide in feature is the same width.

Next question, do I open the slot or wait and get a different keeper assuming it exists?

Thanks,

Greg

Greg, i assume that you're talking about the piece that slots in at top of cover, and the cable threads into? I prbably havr the one you need, pm me me if interested.
