The bike turned out great, looks beautiful. You do excellent work. Would you be willing to duplicate the front fender and tank. Did you open up the tunnel on the tank for the coils? Also is the seat metal or fiberglass. Again super job, it does look good. CliffC

Sorry for the slow reply. I just got back from Mid Ohio last nite and haven't gotten unloaded yet.
The tank is steel and I do have the stampings or a complete tank ready for filling (minor bodywork) and painting. The seat is a fiberglass unit from Vintage Cosmo. It's a bit short. I'll probably replace it a some point. The front fender is a chrome Sport 90 aftermarket from Ebay ($25.00). You have to drill one hole to fit the late forks. It comes chrome, so I just shot the top with some Plasticoat and clearcoat. The velocity stacks are from a CB350/4. You get 4 in a set on Ebay for $35. They have to be bored about .010 to fit nicely. Now for the megs. I built about a hundred of these mufflers with brackets and baffles for my Harley Dealer friend a couple of years back. They are a reproduction of the "high pipe" used on the late swing arm Harley Scat also generically known as a Hummer. Funny thing but the left hand bolted perfectly to the footrest bracket. I had to mirror the mount on the right bracket. They are double wall with 2 internal disc that accept a removable baffle. I'm running without the baffle and they are still a little quiet for my taste. I'm using a 140 main jet with these. The engine is stock except for some of the Italian aftermarket high compression pistons (s2), and am still a little bit fat on the mixture. Haven't had time to tune it to get the mix right and am going to have to fix a headgasket leak before I move further. I have ridden it about a mile and don't know if it's just the riding position or what, but this thing is much more torquey than any of the other 305's that I've ever owned. you should look up teamhansenhonda.com he has the best parts i've seen out there. he has the cr77 style aluminum tank for $600.00 or glass but you need to be carefull with glass tanks if is not the right kind of glass the fuel will ruin the tank .they are designed for racing and need to be drained

I hate to try and talk to flathead this way but for some reason my PM's are not getting through... Anyway flathead, if you see this, do you have any of those pressings for the tank available? I have a spot welder and actually want to build my own from your pressings. I'm working on a CB77 project with CYB seat, 72 Suzuki 4ls drum brakes, Akront front rim, Home cast clipons, 1/2 (Norton style) frame mount fairing, etc... Thank You... Dave

i hope im not bugging you alot but your building that bike the exact same way i wanna build mine,i was just wondering where you got those handlbars , and when will one of those tank kits be available for purchase?

FYI guys, that type of clubman handlebar is possibly better known as 'Thruxton' -- at least that is/was the case in UK.
