Another CB77 PARTS WANTED thread

Post by Gordon in NC » Mon Jun 29, 2009 7:39 pm

Hello from North Carolina. I didn't want to hijack another thread so I started my own.

My name is Gordon Gray and I mostly deal in BSA unit singles but have always lusted after a Super Hawk. If you've been to Mid-Ohio and have visited the family campground....for the past 7 years I'm the fellow who hosts the Brit Bike .com compound...(near the wood line). BIG BB.com banner, lots of oil leaking Brit bikes, cookout and bike show on Saturday???????

This past weekend I took care of my Super Hawk "lust" and I'm now the proud owner of a 1966 CB77.

I've never been into restoring but do like a good clean runner....I ride my bikes they're not for show. I've got nothing against restoring but it's just not me.

So......................I'm in search of the following bits:

Front fender
Knob for the left hand filter cover
Chain guard
Kickstarter (complete)
Kickstarter gear/shaft
Plug/cap for the kickstart prawl
Right side engine cover (mine is broken at the kick starter)

Okay that's enough for now.

Thank you in advance .......Gordon Gray in North Carolina (aka Gordon in NC)

THANK YOU for the replies......

sotxbill....I've been on eBay a LONG time so I know the drill.....I'm watching every day.

FAST FRED.....The bike's frame# is......CB77E1027414.....with steel fork lowers

I'm new to CB's but not new to Honda. Back in my much younger (and MUCH lighter) days I desert raced on SL125's and not to long ago did several AHRMA trials events on a TL125. Just never been much of a twins man......but in the last couple of months I added a CB160 and this CB77 to the herd. I'm as tickled as a kid with a new puppy.

Thanks again for taking the time to help........cheers.....Gordon in NC

Well it's been 3 months and I've "almost" got the CB77 ready. I've ridden it a lot and want to take it on a long camping trip this month. BUT........I still don't have a kickstarter and really don't want to get stuck somewhere away from home with a bad electric starter so the search continues.

e-Bay has been kind for the other bits I needed but I keep missing/loosing the auctions for a good complete right side cover.

So I'll ask again....I need a complete (need all the kickstarter bits) right side cover for a 65 CB77. I can be reached at dad1150@aol.com. (LM....I lost your contact info)

OH!!! while I'm at it. I want to move the pegs back to the rear most mounts. Anybody got a supplier for a longer threaded rod for the shifter side????

Take care......and thanks in advance...Gordon Gray ( aka Gordon in NC)
