Carb Float Bowl Gaskets

Post by gramey7 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 12:31 pm

After suffering from Keyster rebuild kits on a variety of issues, including weepy float bowl gaskets, I have solved at least one problem. I bought Honda brand bowl gaskets (p/n 1629-268-004) and the carbs no longer leak. I ordered them through my local Honda motorcycle shop and they were pricey at $11.79 each but at least they are still available. Time will tell, but the Honda brand ones are supposed to be impervious to the alcohol additives in gasoline in most parts of the country now.

Oops, should have mentioned the application part numbers were for the CL77 but I'm sure others suffering from this problem can find the corresponding correct parts through Honda for the other applications.
