So im constantly on the hunt, generally for 70's hondas that dont run, and odd 60's stuff. this is one bike that has always interested me.... from what i can see/read, no carbs, no side covers, no front fender, cut rear fender, CL bars, no plug cables, maby missing some other electronice im sure theres more.

ive been using that Jaxed.com program i posted up, its awsome, i was able to see he listed it for $100, then deleted it, relisted for $600, then 450...then 350. we made a loose agreement of $200 via email.
might be a poor assumption but i figured being small this would be a good first engine rebuild for me... i will most definitly try freeing the cylinders first but im prepared for a tear down.
my rookie eyes see $200 in this bike all day long (as long as theres no surprises in person), would anyone care to share any knowlege, or opinions about this bike and or potential purchase? i just dont wanna see this thing parted out on ebay in a week, it looks like i can save it and get it back to riding condition so someone can enjoy it.
Potential CB160 project prchase, comments/opinions please!

cb 160 rebuildyou can never know about surprises , but depending on how far you want to go with making it run , versus a restore , i think your guess is low , watching parts for some time for my CA 160 and now a CL175 here is what you can expect ... side covers $30 up , air filters same , carb rebuild kits $40 carbs $20 for sad ones , gasket kit for engine $30 piston and rings .25 overbore $125 battery $25, fotk seals $15 if the tires have cracks/rot don't chance it $100, control cables $30 ,mirrors $25 up, hopefully a mouse hasn't eaten the wires .. ... don't forget to add shipping to your totals I'd plan on $600 to have just a road ready bike add the $200 purchase and if no title (assuming since the add was not sure of the year) depending on method $150 you are just a tick under $1000 without any profit ,
The reason we do this is for love not money , If you want to make money you will need a whole lot of money for pristine parts, paint , machine work etc. to bring it back to the day it was built . other than all that , I'd say go for it ! it's great to see these old classics running around town , If you cafe it , that's cool too, but even the little bike parts add up in a hurry and be ready to spend a bit more than the $200 to enjoy the experience NOMAD (<>..<>) 1966 CA 160 engine #A160E-10069XX
