Vibration

Post by Gregg » Tue Jun 16, 2009 8:23 am

My 67 Dream is back together after restoration. I'm finding vibration at med to high revs from the motor. I don't remember it vibrating this much before the restoration. The bike sat idle for over 10 years. Any ideas. Thanks Gregg

Anyone have a gas cap gasket? I made one but it seems to plug up the vent which creates a vacumm in the tank restricting fuel flow which stops the engine.

My CA77 vibrates too. It keeps shaking out my tail-light bulb filements. I had to go to an LED tail light. I am curious if anyone else has exerienced this.

Actually I replaced two bulbs last year and just another one yesterday on mine.Thought it might be elect. problem.I did find after my initial restoration I had gotten a bad vibration after riding awhile and found that acouple of the motor mount bolts a come alittle loose and I tamed it down after snugging them back up.Joe

I also found that loose motor mount bolts will cause a serious vibration in the bike. Check all the mounting bolts for tightness.
