Neutral switch C77 CA77 CB77Neutral switch C77 CA77 CB77Hi
Another dumb question from a newbie to the forum. Are there any material differences between the neutral switch listed in my CL77 parts book and the one listed for the CA72 (C72)? 35750-268-000 35750-259-000 The cases must be very similar - is it just something like a different cable length/color or is there something more fundamental? I don't have one on my CL77 at the moment so I cannot compare. G-Man I spent some time looking at these two switches side by side and the contacts make / break at exactly the same orientation of the switch. Mounting holes, came length, cable colour and connector are all the same. I'm pretty sure (until you tell me different!) that they are the same part.
35750-268-000 35750-259-000 David Silver spares in the UK has stocks of the 259 part.
Like you, G, I'd say there's no difference between the gearboxes -- ratios notwithstanding -- of any of the four-speed models. There's certainly no difference between the shift patterns so, until Our God Ed says any different, I'd go with the instinct of 'identical'.

Thanks for the advice, my problem was that I didn't have any type of switch. I won one on eBay but that didn't look like it was ever going to turn up. I saw the '259' ones at David Silver's so I though I would just take a chance. Murphy's law said that that they both turned up within a couple of days of each other so now I have two! Do you get your parts from UK or is their a healthy classic scene in Spain? I spend almost 50% of my time in the US so I can pick up bits while I am over here. Cheers G
