This is the first 305 (67 Cl77) I have ever own and I jumped in head first restoring it. So basically I am wondering if anyone can shed some light as to why my wound kick start arm flies forward past what I would assume to be its normal resting place at the top of the kick stroke. Right now the the only thing stopping the arm from flying forward is the artificial stop of the right crank case. I have been studying the fiches and I can't seem to figure out if I missed installing the internal stop when I rebuilt the engine or what?
Thank for your help,
Adam

Adam Tucker wrote:Dave , looks like figured out my problem. Without the kick start cover the shaft does rotate indefinitely. In order for me to install the missing bolt, do I just need to remove left side case and install it or do I have to crack the upper and lower cases? Thanks
