Honda Guys are LuckyHonda Guys are LuckyI am getting ready to start a rebuild on one my old Triumph Bonneville's. Be thankful guys the Japanese never heard of a "Sludge Trap".
Don't know how far away you are from Mt. Airy, MD., but are you going to Butler's Orchard this year?
Ever been to the 'Triumph Come Home' rally at White Rose? I was thinking of going to that one, and hopefully it won't rain this year like it did for the past two years at the Butler's Orchard show. I went to the one in Leesburg a few years back and thought it was a waste of time -- any idea if that show has improved? Vince,
I have never been to the White Rose show either but see it advertised in Walnecks. I have been to the Butlers Orchard Show and you are right, it was raining when I was there but best selection of British Iron I have ever seen. I go to the Leesburg show ever year just because it is so close. That field has to next to Death Valley as far as repressive heat and not the best organized event around. Most of the time there bikes in the parking lot are equal or better. I have a neighbor who makes the run to the Leesburg show (about 80 miles one way) every year on a 1969 Vespa two cycle scooter. I left ahead of him last year on my Rocket III and damned if he still didn't beat me there. I have never seen him without an old stokie stuck in the conner of his mouth. I knew I wasn't far behind him though, all I could smell was cigar smoke and two cycle oil.
