Excellent EBay Supplier

Post by sacbx » Sun Jan 18, 2009 5:35 pm

OK.
There's a happy ending to the Buyer Beware story.
e3steve was exactly correct about TC.
Check this out. It's the latest email I received from TC:

Hi,

Apologize for the mistake from my shipping department. I wil send you the correct spoke set on monday morning via airmail. As for the incorrect spoke, please just keep it as a free gift in compensation for the inconveniences i had created.

Best Regards, TC

I highly recommend this supplier. Anyone looking for ebay parts for the CB77 - I recommend dealing with someone wth the customer service ethics of TC (Vintage_001).
I intend to use him for whatever parts I can for the remainder of the restoration.

Unshagged and unnecessarily paranoid in San Antonio.

Unshagged, I'm pleased TC sorted you in the end (oo-er, missus!); I was beginning to lose faith in my own judgement there. As previously stated: he has always delivered for me, 100%. Nice one!!

And it goes to show that being nice achieves results more frequently than 'guns blazing' -- you'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

I just bought the rim/spoke set from him. Good to hear its coming from a quality dude. Especially since it was $200 sale. They should be here within a week or so. I'll post more info as soon as they arrive.

I got a set of spokes from TC just over a year ago for my CA77 and they were not correct. The ends were not correct and he said he would send me new and never did.

I have to tell you that I received the emailfrom TC on 18 January and haven't seen the new spokes as yet, but I know the shipping time is in the 3 week range.

I will send him an email and inquire as to the ETA.

Gary, to keep your morale and faith intact: I struck a deal with TC, last summer, whereby we agreed on a combined shipping arrangement for the rims and spokes together; 12-week surface mail, as I wasn't in any particular hurry to receive.

The rims arrived, then a subsequently-purchased Best Offer seat. No spokes. I emailed him and he was profusely apologetic; his shipping dept (Mum & Sis, I s'pose!) had overlooked the spokes. He said he'd post them immediately, to which I replied that there was no rush so I was happy for him to send them by his cheapest safe method.

They arrived safely, Singers to Barcelona to Palma de Mallorca, in less than 10 days.
