I think it is cool and might have been like something done back in the 60's. I'd really ditch the Harley grips because they look out of place with everything else on the bike that looks more period correct.

Nice job"Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder", and personally I like the look. There is not another one around like it I bet. I have a similar seat on an old Triumph Chopper. You will learn to appreciate breaks on lengthy rides. Great job of wrench turning on an abandoned bike and box of parts.
GripsI didn't say I didn't like the bike or the uniqueness. The grips are HD and the rest of of the bike is Honda 60's.
60's grips might look better on this bike as well as most Triumph choppers and bobbers from the 60's. Doesn't matter to me if they came off of a weed eater. I still like the bike.
Very cool concept and really like where it's heading (are we ever finished with our customs???).
If I could offer any possible suggestions, I'd first agree with 'eyedragaknee' about the grips. If you can find a pair of white ones (Beston?), that would really help tie things together, particularly picking up the whitewall on the rear tire and the white of the tank. I know you can get vintage white ones for HD in 1" diameter, but don't know about 7/8". The only other thing that I'd be interested in seeing is if you could modify that seat to have springs -- I think the height of the tank and the seat sitting right on the frame rails is where I see incongruity (is that the right word?). So those are my two cents. This thread should be in the Customs/Mods section -- will make the rest of us over there feel a bit less lonely! BTW, what are you thoughts about a rear view mirror and tail light/license plate holder?
