cable lenghts for flat bars 65 cb77
my rear fender has 2 chrome things that look to be where the rear mudguard would attatch to the fender. it was right under the tail light bracket. i ordered the cover from the guy in canada this past week, have not received it yet but i did order it.

ok i re-measured...throttle cable is 13"
i wonder if top (single) cable only is available? my cables going from split to carbs are in fine shape. clutch cable is 34", front brake is 38" as to bars mine measure 23" tip to tip with a bit of pullback, a bit more on left side than right...this bike does have a history...I sat on it for awhile on a couple of occasions before I started disassembling (hey the remaining cracked tank badge does say "Dream") and it felt perfectly familiar after 35 years...everything fell right to hand. so i guess i'll put it back together like it was for now, let ground-down ball on bent clutch lever, weirdly curved brake lever, and scuffed end of throttle rubber remain as part of bike's charm. And maybe for good luck? Anyway, I'm shooting for a presentable rider, not a show bike. re comfort with short bars...as i recall the idea was to go fast enough and hold body in right position to generate some lift to take weight off your wrists... thanks, Lee
Apparently the throttle cable can be disassembled and the upper section 'made up' to suit, although I've not tried this myself yet. That handlbar's seen some tarmac, I'd say! I fell off my CB soooo many times when I was a teenager; usually from grabbing the front brake too hard! Live & learn....
Like you, I'm aiming for a presentable rider but, having OCD, my 'presentable' means 'mint'! Mine will never be 'show' because of its mixup of parts, but I do want it to look, ride & sound like the mutt's nuts. A way to go yet...... Good luck!
