Desperately need a CB77 Carburetor

Post by Spargett » Sun Aug 31, 2008 11:44 am

I have a 62 CB77 that is need of an entirely new carburetor. Even though the current carburetor has been professionally rebuilt, its not good enough. I'll spare you all the terrible details, but at this point I haven't even had a chance to ride it yet (more details spared).

If any one has a CB77 carburetor for sale, I'd be grateful and pay a fair price. Of if anyone knows any good places to look, I'd be equally grateful.

I've been told carbs from 1964 models and higher are the only ones to bother with. Thanks guys, and I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

I have a pair of '64s for which I have '67 replacements. There's nothing actually wrong with the old ones and the bike they are on runs sweet as a sweet thing (apart from little ends rattling like a right SoB!). I bought them on a whim, really. PM me an offer? I paid $280 for the replacements. I was saving them for my rebuild, but if your offer is reasonable and it helps you out of a spot, then I'll swap them out this week. I really would prefer to sell them as a pair though.

And they don't come with the bowls full of the pricey, European unleaded that's in there just now!

As your bike came with round bowl carbs send me what you have left of that carb and I'll build ya one.
Cost determined by which/how many parts required. If you send both I will rebuild them to match. ...............lm
